BRAZILLIAN JIU-JITSU

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a self-defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds.

In Gi, the numerous grips and Gi material mean that a lot of setups are based on using the Gi material for ex: using the lapels as leverage to off balance your opponent and possibly choke them with the Gi

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi is a uniform for training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, adapted from the keikogi used in modern Japanese martial arts. A Gi, meaning dress or clothes, is typically composed of a heavy cotton jacket, reinforced drawstring trousers, and a belt that communicates rank. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu gi is also sometimes referred to as kimono by non-Japanese speakers.

NoGi Jiu Jitsu, you don’t wear the traditional uniform. Instead, you wear shorts and a t-shirt or rash guard. In the NoGi form of BJJ, you can’t grab your opponent’s clothing to increase leverage. To be a complete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, you should train in both Gi and NoGi

Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling-type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins, and other grappling holds. Wrestling techniques have been incorporated into martial arts, combat sports, and military systems.

Combination of:

Boxing – Also known as Pugilism is a combat sport, in which two people, usually wearing Protective gloves and other protective equipment such as hand wraps and mouthguards, throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.

Muay Thai – Sometimes referred to as Thai boxing, is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the “art of eight limbs”, as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins.

Kickboxing – A combat sport focused on kicking and punching. The combat takes place in a boxing ring, normally with boxing gloves, mouthguards, shorts, and bare feet to favor the use of kicks. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or for competition.

Our Striking Classes have something for all ages and abilities. Learn the very basics or challenge yourself with high-level training. Striking can help improve your heart health, body composition, and strength, as well as lower your blood pressure and aid weight loss. Most of all, Striking Classes are a fun way to get some exercise and release stress safely and healthily.

Strength & Conditioning is an exercise prescription to improve the performance of competitive athletes or athletic teams. This is achieved through the combination of strength training, aerobic conditioning, and other methods.fe and healthy way.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal Training delivers safe and effective exercise programs for apparently healthy individuals and groups, or those with medical clearance to exercise.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private Lessons are a fixed period of time when 1-3 people are taught about a particular subject or taught how to do something. We offer kids and adult private lessons in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, & Yoga.

Use these private lesson opportunities to help you excel in your Martial Arts career. We can’t cover everything in class that needs covered. So try to take advantage of these.
